Моbile sinking hoists
In the process of sinking the shafts up to 1170 m. deep with the shaft diameter 5–8 m. the sinking hoists (modular-containerized) are used. Their main difference from the friction hoists is layout solutions and assembly. The layout solution assumes a minimum number of prefabricated elements and application of specially designed сompact and powerful electric motors as a part of equipment.
In case of modular-containerized assembly, electrical equipment and operator’s desk are installed in 40-foot sea containers. The motor room is covered with walls made of sandwich panels and a roof. Such an option significantly reduces assembly time and after a shaft sinking the equipment is easy to dismantle and transport to another site by road or by railway.
All sinking hoists manufactured by UZTM are designed for operation in climatic conditions from -45 to +45 °С and equipped with two-motor asynchronous drive.

The process of mine hoists design starts with study and verification of initial technical requirements submitted by a customer. Uralmashplant engineering center is equipped with modern software, which allows us to reduce the cycle of mine hoists design and increase the efficiency and quality of the design.
The next stage is the calculation of loads on mine hoist mechanical equipment, drives and brakes. We pay particular attention to this process. The specialists of engineering calculations and analysis center perform calculations for static, dynamic and fatigue strength of mine hoists equipment, by means of modern software platforms, using finite element method. Engineering calculations allow us to simulate processes and operation and identify the areas of maximum stresses, fatigue limit of a part, predict the service life of mine hoists.
Mine hoists parts are domestically manufactured by Uralmashplant, including the use of the advanced machining centers by leading global manufacturers. Workpieces made of Russian high-strength steel grades are used for the hoists manufacture.
The materials used for manufacturing of main units and parts of mine hoists are similar or surpass the known analogues. Every part of the mine hoist is controlled at all stages of designing and manufacturing. We use a number of original designs and process solutions in сourse of manufacturing of our structures.
Modular/containerized part undergoes testing. In the course of testing we check the operation of the hoist automated control system and process automation.
