Erection of First Dragline Starts in India

Erection of the first of the five draglines ESH 24.95 that Uralmashplant (UZTM, part of the UZTM-KARTEX Group) manufactures for CIL, India's largest state-owned concern, began at the site of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL, part of Coal India Ltd.)

To mark the start of the erection works, a solemn ceremony was held in which a puja ritual was performed according to Hindu tradition.

According to the contract, the first ESH 24.95 will be commissioned in 18 months. The walking dragline No. 1 will be operated at NCL's Bina mine. Delivery of the entire lot of draglines will be completed in 2026.

In total, UZTM-KARTEX Group will supply 16 excavating machines - eleven mining shovels EKG-20KM and five draglines ESH 24.95 to Coal India Ltd. The company will also provide the customer with spare parts and accessories for a period of 11 years from the date of commissioning of the machines.
